Regina Pokorná has been on the competitive chess scene for a long time, starting when she won the European Girls Under 10 Championship in 1992. Since then, she has also won, or jointly won, a series of strong women's chess tournaments and participated in multiple European Women's Team Chess Championships and Olympiads, attaining multiple medals.
While Regina Pokorná has not been a regular in the Women’s Grand Prix series, she has participated in various international tournaments and now plays for Austria.
